ESI CONTRIBUTION

Employee's State Insurance (ESI) is a scheme started by government of India. It a medical based scheme for low salaried persons. This scheme is very beneficial for Low salaried persons. The persons who are earning by salary maximum 21000.00 per month. And the above 21000.00 salaried people cannot get any benefit from ESIC. The non-government employees are getting the benefits by this scheme. Normally we say a self- finance health insurance scheme. This scheme is conducting in all states of India. First employer registered in ESI after that he deposit online challan in the favor of ESI. This money is contributed by employer and employee salary.

ESI Contributable amount

The contribution are making by employer of entity and employees. But employee who getting a salary of less than Rs.21, 000 per month cannot contribute in it. The percentages are fixed for both. The employer contribution is 4.75% and employee’s contribution is 1.75% of the wages per month. So total contributed amount is 6.5%. If employee is absent for 15 days. It means he is getting the salary of 15 working days. But contribution is fixed 1.75% of CTC
